Amritsar is known for the beautiful Golden Temple, but very few are aware or have explored other historical aspects of this old city of Punjab. This heritage walk will give you an opportunity to explore the history and culture of the old walled city of Amritsar, where you will get to see old monuments and houses, and the city’s unique architecture. The walk will start from the Town Hall, which was built in 1866 by the British, and will further take you through the 400-year-old narrow lanes and by-lanes of old Amritsar. On the way, we will see Qila Ahluwalia, the ancient trade centre of Amritsar, Sangalwala Akhara, Chitta Akhara, Darshani Deori and a beautiful piece of architecture - Thankurdwara Dariana Mal. This heritage walk through the old walled city will be an opportunity to experience the old town’s planning and architecture.

This guided tour is free.
