Mawlongbna Village is located in Mawsynram, within the East Khasi Hills district. It is situated about 75 km from the capital city of Shillong.

Mawlongbna is surrounded by forests, lakes, caves, rivers, and streams. A variety of fish species are also found here, for those who enjoy fishing. The forest is home to several species of birds and plants. Mawlongbna also houses a fossil park where the fossils of different sea creatures can be found.
