This walk would probably involve more standing and staring rather than walking. Fort Kochi, the enclave held serially by European conquerors over nearly half a millennium, is all of one square mile. This has given this stamp-sized town a surfeit of recorded history – more stories to tell than countries and continents. The walk leader spent five weeks here in 2007 sourcing these stories and sketching. The walk leader aims to share with the participants the sheer fascination of crossing the road across a couple of centuries.
