Join us to walk through one of the oldest Islamic monumental styles of Baroda. The invasion of this ancient city by the Delhi Sultanate added a new layer to the city’s architecture. The mausoleum at Hazira Maqbara surrounded by gardens is a picturesque architectural piece.

The photo walk aims at capturing the intricacy of the heritage and Persian infulences by unfolding various stories and myths related to this structure. Evening provides a calmer light with the setting sun that enables the observer to capture the essence of the intricate Persian patterns. The photo walk will be a blend of photography and heritage narration.

Dhara Mayavat
She is an architect graduated from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and currently perusing masters in Art History and Aesthetics from Baroda college of Fine Arts. As a part of her academic workshop, she had recently done an exhibition displaying re-adapted and reused monumental heritage of Baroda and works on various themes regarding built heritage.
