Amita Sharma
She is an alumnus of the National School of Drama, Delhi, and has been working actively in the field of theatre for over 15 years. She has organised many theatre workshops and has performed at many national and international theatre festivals like the Bharat Rang Mahotsava, New Delhi; Nehru Theatre Festival, Mumbai; NAPA Theatre Festival, Karachi; APB Theatre Festivals, New Delhi; and the Beijing Theatre Festival, China. Her notable works include Ishq Su Jag Da Mool (Rajinder Singh), Uppat (Rajinder Singh), Clowns and Clouds (Dr Abhilash Pillai), Camino Real (Jeffrey Sichel), Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (Dr Anuradha Kapur), Sampada (Prof Tripurari Sharma), Raddi Bazaar (Santanu Bose) and Nirala (Rajinder Singh). Having been offered a one-year fellowship from the National School of Drama, she has worked under the guidance of H Kanhailal and H Sabitri. She is also a National Fellow under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and works as a creative head at Dastak, Amritsar.
