The Mullick Ghat Flower Market is India's largest flower market and one of the biggest in Asia, and has been around for over a century. It is located right under the Howrah Bridge and runs along the ghats which provide an insight into life by the river, along with showcasing their importance when public bathing was the only available option for the locals. It is one of the best places to photograph the iconic Howrah Bridge.

Besides documenting the largest flower market in India, the idea is to also cover life as it unfurls early in the morning at the various ghats in and around the flower market. We will also document the ghats which are in a state of disrepair and badly in need of restoration: particularly one bathing ghat which has absolutely stunning architecture and is grossly ignored and abused.

This is an often-photographed place, and the Instameet will focus on the ghats and the stories that are hidden there.
