This journey is about learning the various nuances of Indian textiles through an engaging visit to a textile museum nestled in New Delhi. We will learn about unique textures, materials and colours, and the symbolism behind each representative textile style of India. The second part of the walk involves visiting an ecological dyeing unit in the vicinity to get a first-hand exclusive experience of the natural and eco-dyeing processes, along with printing techniques. We will learn how sustainable fashion collaborates with nature and how commonplace ingredients like walnut, rose, lac, marigolds, cutch and turmeric provide fascinating visions on cloth, with absolutely no carbon footprint.

This guided tour is free.
