IHWF brings together walks which facilitate the interaction of people with special needs, and from disadvantaged backgrounds, making the local heritage more accessible. In the past year, 50+ events have been organised and facets of culture have been made accessible to people with different and specific needs.

Such experiences are organised across five cities, and serve various groups. These experiences have been an exercise in capacity building for heritage enthusiasts and walk leaders who collaborate with experts and acquire skills to smoothly conduct walks for those with special needs.

The IHWF is an inclusive, pan-India event that translates the intangibility of heritage that exists in Sahapedia, to a tangible sphere for a user group with special needs.
